Dr. David Stephens, 59, died on May 1, 2001, at his home, from a deadly dose of a medication commonly encountered in hospital settings. Stephanie Stephens, who remarried in 2002, claimed that her husband committed suicide. Stephanie Stephens was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of murdering her husband.
